Rockwall/Heath community coming together to build beds for children in need

ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (April 7, 2025) – In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month and Global Youth Service Day, the Rockwall/Heath community is invited to take part in a Community Bed Build Event on Saturday, April 26th from 9 AM to 1 PM. This special day of service will help ensure that no child in our area is left to sleep on the floor.

Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome to join in building beds for children impacted by abuse, neglect, or hardship on Saturday, April 26th. No tools or experience are necessary—everything will be provided on-site.

There are several ways to get involved in the cause from volunteering to donating to children in need!

How to Get Involved:

Whether by building, donating, or spreading awareness, every person can make a difference in the life of a child in need.

This event is made possible through the partnership of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and JustServe—organizations committed to lifting and serving the local community.

Let’s work together to provide comfort, dignity, and a safe place to sleep for every child.
