Rockwall County (June 11, 2025) – The Rockwall Sheriff’s Office is hosting a CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) training on Saturday June 28th from 9am – 12pm inside Liberty Hall at the Rockwall County Courthouse at 1111 E. Yellow Jacket Lane.
The course teaches the concepts of the Avoid, Deny, & Defend strategy developed by Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). It is designed to help civilians understand how to apply these concepts in an actual emergency. Empowers civilians to take decisive actions during critical moments of an active shooter event.
The course is free of charge and opened to the public. Registration is available online.
