The proposed project would reconstruct and widen FM 2755 between SH 78 and CR 541 for approximately 1.5 miles, in the city of Lavon, Collin County from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane (ultimate six-lane) divided roadway. A shared use path for bicyclist and pedestrian use will also be provided on both sides of the corridor. The proposed facility would have a varying right of way width of approximately 120 feet to 211 feet.

The proposed project would require approximately 14.8 acres of additional right-of-way and may displace one residence, pending final design considerations. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling (214) 320-6675 or visiting the project website.
