Rockwall, TX (July 17, 2025) – Just when you thought it was safe….. to host a party. Looking for party ideas and recipes for the ultimate Shark Pool Party inspired by Jaws? You found it! We’re diving into coastal glamour and making our own Amity Island with a shark-themed pool party inspired by Jaws.
The Table Decor
I set the shark buffet table with my blue and white striped tablecloth first seen at Disney Dinners: Hercules and added a nautical rope and hung lightweight vintage-looking lifesavers in the front of the table.
I used all blue, white, clear, and rattan serving pieces and used two seashell bowls to add to the east coast island feel. The food was so colorful and gorgeous and really added to the decor! More on that later.
The back of the buffet table was lined with flowers, white nautical lanterns, and an abundance of large seashells and shell garlands. I especially love this “respect the locals” sign I found on Amazon.
I scattered smaller seashells all throughout the table and set out adorable shark cups and “chomp” napkins that are cute as can be.
The Flowers
I styled three arrangements with white hydrangeas and red carnations to signify blood in the water. I thought they looked so beachy and patriotic, perfect for a Jaws party, and the red really popped.
The Drink

I served a whole pitcher of my Deep Water Cocktail, which is an easy mix of lemonade, blue curacao cocktail mixer, and coconut rum. The best part? I add Amarena cherries and a bit of cherry juice to the bottom of each cup to be the blood in the water. Get the recipe here.
The Food
I’m absolutely in love with this shark pool party menu. I really tried to capture a vacation in Amity island with lots of make-ahead seafood.

Shark Pool Party Menu
Lobster Rolls
Marinated Shrimp
Shark-cuterie with Shark Crackers
Cape Cod Chips (BBQ & Sea Salt)
Cherries & Strawberries
Shark Cupcakes
Ocean Popcorn
Lobster Rolls
First, we have to talk about the lobster rolls! Topped with lemon zest, tossed in an herby dressing, and served in buttery brioche, these incredible lobster rolls will have you feeling the island vibes. Get the recipe here.
Marinated Shrimp
Boy, do my friends love this easy recipe! I’ve served this delicious shrimp at so many parties including Disney Dinners: The Little Mermaid. It’s the perfect make-ahead seafood dish! Get the recipe here.
Shark-cuterie with Shark Crackers
I of course had to serve my viral Shark-cuterie with homemade Shark Crackers. If you had ever told me this would be one of my most popular recipes, I’m not sure I would have believed you! With salami barnacles, white cheddar shark teeth, and deliciously cheesy crackers, this is sure to please a crowd.
Cape Cod Chips & Summer Fruit
You gotta have chips with lobster rolls! It’s amazing how cute chips look in sea-themed serving pieces. I’ve been getting the best fruit at Kroger lately so I also had cherries and strawberries for some more pops of red on the table. What’s better than floating in a pool eating cherries in the summertime?
Shark Cupcakes
These Shark Cupcakes with Ocean Wave Frosting are perfect for a shark-themed party! I used my popular swirled frosting method for the ocean waves and garnished each fudgey cupcake with a shark fin cupcake topper. Get the recipe here.
Ocean Popcorn
If there’s one thing I learned from Ina, it’s that you don’t have to make every single thing from scratch. I got a custom bag of popcorn from Popcorn Papa: half white chocolate, a quarter blueberry, and a quarter coconut. How cute is this? It also makes a fun take-home gift! I sent my guests home with popcorn to enjoy later.
I hope this inspires you to host your very own shark pool party at home. Want to see more parties? Check out my Disney Dinners here!
