How about an after-school snack? Joy, an 8-year-old Akita belonging to Doris and Tom Richards with T&D Construction, is hungry after a day of learning new tricks.

ROCKWALL, TX (August 13, 2025) These fun-loving furballs have been living their best summer alongside their human sidekicks. Now, as the school year begins and routines return, we ‘paws’ to celebrate the final dog days of summer. Thanks to all the families who fetched photos of their backyard ball-chasers and poolside pups.

From Concert Crashers to Carpool Cuties

Zeke and Woody crashed a Courtney Love performance in San Antonio when their mother showed up to the concert carrying a litter. Mark and Linda Gates rescued the doggy duo and brought them home to Rockwall. According to Mark, the brothers are huge Buckeyes fans and can’t wait for back-to-back National Championships.  

Teacher’s Pets

Edie Zehr’s precious pups don’t need a hall pass when they are this adorable. Buddy and Snuggles have already mastered Sit, Stay, and Steal Hearts 101.  

From Street Pup to Star Pupil

Dianna Johnson and her husband adopted Jaxon from Tzu Zoo Rescue after he was found wandering the streets in bad shape. Eight years later, Jaxon is king of the castle, proving that love is the best teacher.
