ROCKWALL, TX (Aug. 12, 2025)It’s a season of celebration and purpose as the 8th Annual Wings of Wisdom Gala, Inspiring Generations, takes flight on Friday, October 18 at the Hilton Rockwall Lakefront. Presented by Interstate Classic Cars and hosted by Meals on Wheels Senior Services (MOWSS), this beloved event honors the legacy, strength, and wisdom of local seniors and individuals with disabilities—those who have paved the way for generations to come.
More than just a fundraiser, Wings of Wisdom benefits the Senior Life Center Capital Campaign, a vital initiative aimed at meeting the growing needs of our aging and disabled population.
MOWSS is more than a meal delivery program—it’s a lifeline. With the help of dedicated volunteers, MOWSS serves as a vital support system, offering safety checks, companionship, and connection to vulnerable residents across the community.
Programs include weekly meal delivery, Sunshine Snack Bags, and the Weekend Warrior Program, which provides weekend meals and friendly visits in partnership with organizations like NCL, YMCL, and Boys Team Charities.
Other services include:
- Ani-Meals Program – Providing pet food, grooming, and veterinary support for clients’ furry companions
- Allan’s Companion Program – Offering additional visits for social connection
- Meals While You Heal, Caregiver Information Services, Magic of Reading, Senior Emergency Management, and much more
- Grand Pals Intergenerational Program – A new initiative that brings together seniors and youth for shared joy, like bingo games and ice cream socials
Guests at the gala will enjoy a plated dinner, silent and live auctions, and meaningful moments like the Butterfly Walkway and Wisdom Wall—featuring stories of resilience, transformation, and grace. The butterfly theme represents change, beauty, and new beginnings.
