City of Heath Department of Public Safety Update

Heath, TX (September 30, 2025) – On September 28, 2025, a burglary occurred in the Tennis Village area of Buffalo Creek. Detectives are actively investigating, and will provide updates as information becomes available.

In the meantime, please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately:

  • Make sure alarm systems are working properly and include glass break sensors, if possible.
  • Check and update security cameras; enable notifications.
  • Take photographs of valuable items.
  • Record serial numbers of valuables and store them in a safe location.
  • Sign up for vacation watch when out of town.

The Mayor and Heath City Council view public safety as the number one priority and have amended the current budget to increase technology, which includes additional license plate reader cameras throughout the city. The City Council also approved funding of three additional Public Safety Officers in the upcoming fiscal year.

Working together, we will continue to keep Heath one of the safest cities in Texas.

Sincerely,

Chief Brandon Seery
