ROCKWALL, Texas (Dec. 19, 2025) – The Rockwall County Republican Party has announced their signature annual event, Lincoln-Reagan Day, will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront.  For only the second time in the event’s nineteen-year history, a sitting Texas Governor will join the festivities.

Republican Party Chair Sharon Henson noted, “We are thrilled to welcome Governor Greg Abbott to Rockwall County and look forward to a fabulous evening where grassroots activists, party leaders, elected officials, Texas voters and all our wonderful guests celebrate our party’s rich heritage and our great state’s recent conservative victories.”

Governor Greg Abbott, running for a historic fourth term in 2026, is dedicated to building a stronger Texas. First elected as the 48th Governor in 2014, he previously served as Texas Attorney General and Justice on the Supreme Court of Texas. A native Texan, Abbott graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and Vanderbilt University Law School.
