Greenville, TX (February 6, 2026) – Veterans Outpost is proud to announce a weeklong, hands-on Commercial Drone Training event designed to equip Veterans with the skills needed to enter the rapidly growing field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The training will take place February 23–28, 2026, at 1889 Mamie Road, Greenville, TX 75402.
This specialized program will be led in partnership with Vets to Drones, a veteran-focused training organization dedicated to helping service members transition into commercial drone careers. The course will be instructed by Chris Lewis, who can be reached at chris@vetstodrones.org for training-related inquiries.
The initiative reflects Veterans Outpost’s commitment to creating meaningful pathways for Veterans seeking new professional opportunities. Participants will receive hands-on instruction, exposure to commercial-grade equipment, and guidance on industry standards and certification preparation.
Veterans Outpost is also seeking community support to ensure the success of this event. Assistance with food, lodging, and local services is needed to help accommodate participating Veterans throughout the training week. Local businesses, civic groups, and individuals interested in supporting the program are encouraged to contact: Chris Lewis from Vets to Drones at chris@vetstodrones.org or Paul Hallonquist at paul@hallonquist.com
This event represents a powerful opportunity for the community to stand alongside Veterans as they build new skills, new careers, and renewed purpose.
