ROCKWALL, TX (Feb. 26, 2026) — A new kind of neighborhood taproom is coming to Rockwall, one inspired by the flavors, stories, and craftsmanship found during travels across America.
We The People Taproom (WTP) is set to open in Rockwall officially on March 5, 2026, offering guests a nostalgic yet modern culinary experience that celebrates independent, regional American cuisine paired with a wall of self-pour beers, wines, and specialty cocktails.
The idea behind We The People Taproom was born on the road.
While traveling across the United States, the owners made it a point to experience street food and hidden gems that offer the most memorable flavors. Those experiences became the foundation for WTP’s concept.
“Some of the best flavors in America are NOT found in trendy restaurant chains, they’re found off highways and tucked into cities throughout America,” said the owners of We The People Taproom. “We wanted to bring those flavors and that feeling home to Rockwall where people can enjoy it without traveling.”
At We The People Taproom, guests can enjoy a curated menu inspired by classic American food like Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Alaskan Fish N’ Chips, Chicago Hanger Steak Frites or Louisiana Alligator Skewers all crafted with quality ingredients and a deep respect for the people and places behind the recipes.
The food is paired with a standout beverage experience — a self-pour tap wall featuring a rotating selection of beers, wines, and specialty cocktail flavors, allowing guests to explore at their own pace.
More than just a restaurant or bar, We The People Taproom is a celebration of America’s people who craft cuisine. We truly honor the cooks, communities, and traditions that shaped the country’s most iconic flavorful foods.

We The People Taproom hosted a soft opening at the beginning of February, and now the grand opening celebration is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4pm-9pm.
