ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX (March 5, 2026) — Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas proudly announced Ethan as the organization’s 2026 Junior Youth of the Year during the 2nd Annual Youth of the Year Gala held Saturday evening at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront.
The Youth of the Year Gala is the organization’s premier celebration of leadership and character, recognizing outstanding Club members who demonstrate academic success, strong moral character, leadership ability, and a commitment to service.
Ethan earned the title of Junior Youth of the Year after delivering a powerful speech and participating in interviews with a panel of judges earlier in the week. Throughout the process, Ethan stood out for his confidence, authenticity, and ability to share his personal journey with
courage and clarity.
“This program is about helping young people discover their voice and realize their potential,” said Jenny Krueger, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas. “Ethan demonstrated remarkable confidence and leadership throughout the entire process. We are incredibly proud of
him and excited to see what his future holds.”
While Ethan was named the Junior Youth of the Year winner, the evening celebrated all of the finalists who took the stage to share their stories with honesty and heart. Each candidate demonstrated bravery, resilience, and determination as they spoke before a room filled with
community leaders, business partners, elected officials, and local changemakers.
Guests experienced an inspiring evening as these outstanding youth shared how the Boys & Girls Club has helped shape their confidence, leadership skills, and vision for the future. The room was filled with encouragement, emotion, and pride as attendees witnessed the next generation of leaders step forward with courage and purpose.
“The bravery these young people showed on stage was incredible,” Krueger said. “Each finalist represents the very best of what our Clubs strive to develop. Confident, compassionate leaders who are ready to make a difference in their communities.”
The Youth of the Year program is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s signature leadership development initiative, designed to empower young people to become leaders who are prepared to succeed in school, career, and life.
The evening served as a powerful reminder of the impact that mentorship, opportunity, and community support can have on the lives of young people. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and supporters in attendance, the event also raised critical funds to support programs that benefit youth across Rockwall and Hunt Counties.
