ROCKWALL, TX (March 9, 2026)- Rockwall County is looking to add new members to our Road & Bridge crew.
Motor Grader Operator: This position involves the skilled operation of heavy construction equipment to maintain, repair, and construct county roads, bridges, drainage systems, and rights-of-way. Responsibilities include laying and patching asphalt, grading, maintaining street signs, hauling materials, and assisting in all phases of road and bridge maintenance. This role requires a high level of skill and safety awareness, which should be acquired through extensive experience in operating heavy equipment.
Operator A / Operator B: These positions perform road right-of-way maintenance and ensure the quality of ditch drainage for Rockwall County. This is accomplished by operating heavy equipment, including bulldozers, graders, asphalt paving equipment, and backhoes, and by hauling road materials for activities such as laying asphalt, installing culverts, grading drainage ditches, servicing street signs, trimming trees, mowing, erosion control, and other assigned duties. Operator level will be based on qualifications.
This department works 10-hour shifts, Monday – Thursday.
