HEATH, TX (April 20, 2026) Adriana Marquez, a senior at Rockwall-Heath High School and the daughter of Chastity and Pablo Marquez, serves as Council President of the Heath Highsteppers drill team. Adriana has spent the past 11 years pursuing her passion for dance, training with Just for Kix and later performing as a member of both the Heath Starsteppers and the Rockwall-Heath Highsteppers.
Reflecting on her time with the Highsteppers, Adriana says she is most proud of serving as Council President and of the leadership opportunities the program has given her. Through her experience on the team, she learned the importance of teamwork and the values that come with being part of something bigger than herself.
In addition to dance, Adriana is involved in several school activities. She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta and performs with Heath High School’s award-winning a cappella group, Infiniti.
Outside of dance and school, Adriana enjoys singing, shopping, and spending time with friends.
After graduation, Adriana plans to attend Oklahoma State University, where she hopes to study medicine and pursue her goal of becoming a pediatrician. Congratulations, Adriana!
