ROCKWALL, TX (April 20, 2026) — As early voting gets underway, Blue Ribbon News is resharing its Facebook livestream of the recent City Council Candidate Forum, following multiple community requests. The forum, hosted by the City of Rockwall on April 9, features candidates for the contested Rockwall City Council seats and is available for viewing on Blue Ribbon News’ YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/u-XkJKpZNis
The City Council General Election will take place Saturday, May 2, 2026. All councilmembers serve two-year terms.

According to the Rockwall County Elections Office, early voting for the Uniform Election runs from Monday, April 20, through Tuesday, April 28. There will be no voting on Tuesday, April 21, in observance of San Jacinto Day, a state holiday. Early voting resumes Wednesday, April 22, at 8 a.m.
Election Day is Saturday, May 2.
Voters are required by Texas law to present an approved photo ID at the polls. Acceptable forms include a Texas Driver License, Texas Personal ID Card, Texas Handgun License, U.S. Military ID, U.S. Passport, or a Texas Election Identification Certificate.
