ROCKWALL, TX (June 7, 2026) – Katie Stutts and Chayson Ross recently tied the knot in a lovely ceremony at the Historic Rockwall County Courthouse, just like Katie’s parents did 46 years ago! Mike Stutts and Lynn Edwards said “I do” on February 23, 1980, in Rockwall, TX, making it a wonderful family tradition.
Katie’s brother, Michael Stutts, had the special honor of walking her down the aisle, a touching tribute to their late father, who passed away on December 31, 2023. The Stutts family has deep roots in Rockwall County, and it was heartwarming to see so many loved ones gathered to celebrate this joyful occasion.
Rockwall County Judge Frank New officiated the ceremony, and once the vows were exchanged, the celebration moved across the street to Zanata for some fun!
Did you know Rockwall County has been recognized as the Marriage Capital of Texas? It’s true! This special designation, which lasts until 2035, was signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott. For over 70 years, couples have flocked to Rockwall County to celebrate their love, and it remains a cherished wedding destination across the Lone Star State.
