ROCKWALL, TX (July 7, 2026) In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and to support mothers and babies in need, Selah Creek Maternity Home is honored to announce a special virtual auction featuring an extraordinary piece of American history.
Through August 4, 2026, Selah Creek will auction a United States flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol on May 17, 2026, during the national Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving.
Rededicate 250 brought thousands of Americans together on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Continental Congress’ 1776 call for a national day of prayer and fasting during the American Revolution. The gathering served as a time of prayer, praise, thanksgiving, and reflection, while encouraging the nation to rededicate itself as One Nation Under God in preparation for America’s 250th birthday in 2026.
The auction centerpiece is a one-of-a-kind American flag that was officially flown over the United States Capitol on May 17, 2026, during this historic day of prayer and national dedication. The flag includes an official Certificate of Authenticity verifying the date and occasion on which it flew over the Capitol.
“This is far more than a flag,” said Kevin Potts, Development Director at Selah Creek Maternity Home. “It represents a unique moment in our nation’s history and serves as a lasting reminder of faith, freedom, and the values that have shaped America for generations.”
Because of its historical significance and documented provenance, this flag is an exceptional opportunity for patriotic collectors, veterans, history enthusiasts, civic organizations, and anyone looking to own a truly irreplaceable piece of American history.
All proceeds from the auction will directly benefit Selah Creek Maternity Home, a faith-based nonprofit that provides safe housing, life skills, counseling, mentoring, and long-term support for pregnant women facing unsupported pregnancies. Every bid helps provide hope, stability, and a brighter future for mothers and their children.
The virtual auction opened July 4, 2026, and concludes August 4, 2026.
