Texas students join an elite team of 12 to lead the state for the academic school year

ROYSE CITY, TX (July 29, 2026)  The Texas FFA Association has officially announced the election of its new state officers for the 2026-2027 school year. These twelve students, who recently graduated high school in May, will represent Texas FFA for the coming school year. While the area representatives will fulfill their responsibilities during their time in college, the President and First Vice President will take a gap year to carry out their duties. During their 365 days in office, they will travel approximately 40,000 miles, and will visit approximately 400 Texas schools conducting leadership workshops and delivering keynote addresses. They will also serve as a voice on the Texas FFA board of directors and official committees, network through business and industry tours and develop strategic priorities that advance the association.

In addition, the elected individuals represent each of the twelve area associations within Texas FFA. These student officers work in partnership with the board of directors to develop policy for the Texas FFA Association and provide student leadership to Texas FFA members.
