ROCKWALL, TX (July 15, 2026) — The following is a summary of the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees monthly meeting held Monday, July 13, 2026, highlighting key discussions, decisions, and district updates.

Recognition

The Board of Trustees recognized Rockwall-Heath High School senior Brooklyn Nalley for her outstanding performance at the UIL State Track and Field Championships in Austin on May 16. A member of the Lady Hawks track team, Brooklyn earned a silver medal with a second-place finish in the Class 6A Girls’ Pole Vault, clearing an impressive 13 feet. Brooklyn capped off an exceptional senior season and will continue her track and field career at Baylor University. Congratulations to Brooklyn and her coach, Kyla Hammond, on this outstanding achievement.

Approval of Board Policies Update 127 & FD (Local)

The Board of Trustees approved Policy Update 127 and FD (Local) revisions.

Approval of Board Policy CQD (Local)

The Board of Trustees approved an amendment to Policy CQD (Local) to match local practice.

Approval of 2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct reflects board policy and has been reviewed by the Student Services Department along with campus and district administration for the 2026-2027 school year. As this is not a legislative year, there are no substantial changes to the Student Code of Conduct.
