Blood center lands new site to address rising patient needs and donor services
ROCKWALL, TX (Aug. 5, 2026)– Carter BloodCare is on the move in Rockwall.
On Monday, Aug. 10, Carter BloodCare opens its new Rockwall Donor Center at 2951 Ridge Road, Suite 107. The nonprofit’s previous Rockwall base was at 1307 Ridge Road.
The relocation provides added room to accommodate staff and donors. Carter BloodCare officials said blood, platelet and plasma collections had outgrown the prior facility’s 2,300 square feet. The new site expands the workspace to 3,000 square feet.
There is an immediate need for all blood types, especially O negative – the universal type for all patients, including premature babies – and O positive for patients with life-threatening injuries.
Donor eligibility begins at 16 years old with parental consent; donors 17 and older can contribute on their own. Each donor must weigh at least 110 pounds and feel well on the day of donation.
Carter BloodCare’s Rockwall Donor Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and closed Sunday.
