Texas 4-H Goes to Paris

ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX (Aug. 13, 2026) Rockwall County 4-H Member and Texas 4-H Fashion & Interior Design Ambassador, Savannah Ware participated in the Fashion in Paris, France Trip, July 8-13, 2026, with 21 youth from Texas via Educational Tours.  Angela McCorkle, 4-H Youth Development Program Specialist for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, served as the group leader for the trip. The group was also accompanied by A&M AgriLife Staff and a full-time French tour guide. The educational tour itinerary was packed daily with numerous, wonderful cultural experiences.

Savannah visited the Chanel Crafts Building, le19M; fashion museums including Dior and the Museum of Fashion, and the Louvre with a museum guide who provided an emphasis on fashion in the arts tour. The group was also able to take a painting lesson in an artist’s studio and craft their own fragrance at the Fragonard perfumery. Savannah enjoyed dining, visiting vintage couture boutiques, taking a Seine River Cruise, and visiting the Eiffel Tower, among a variety of additional historical sites.

During the trip, the group took a walking tour of Montmartre Visit Sacrè-Coeur Basilica, participated in a guided tour of Place de la Concorde, Champs-Èlysèes, Arc de Triomphe, Les Invalides, and exploration at the Galeries Lafayette. They also visited the Île de la Cité, a natural island in the middle of the Seine River, where The Notre-Dame Cathedral is located. The island is thought of as the heart of Paris.
