ROCKWALL, TX – February 24, 2022 — The Rockwall Rotary presented a couple of Student of Honor awards during it’s meeting last week.
Rochell Elementary student Alexa Cedillo and Springer Elementary student Kristian Delgado were recognized by the principals for their respective schools.
Rochell Elementary Principal Kelli Crossland said Cedillo’s teachers remarked how kind she is to her fellow students, that she volunteers each morning in Springer’s Pre-K classroom and also tutors classmates her own age.” Her teachers said that Alexa is someone her classmates look up to and want to be like because she’s so kind,” Crossland said. “Alexa is a quiet leader, and I admire her for that.”
Sara Reeves, principal at Springer Elementary, said Delgado is also a quiet leader and very respectful. “One thing his teachers talked a lot about is his outstanding character. He would like to become an engineer, so he’s doing everything he can to get the job done by working hard in school and being a student that you can count on,” she said.
Congrats to Cedillo and Delgado on being recognized as the Rotary’s Students of Honor!
