ROCKWALL, TX (March 28, 2022) — Rockwall resident and lawyer, Sol Villasana, has been elected to the State Democratic Executive Committee (SDEC) as the Committeeman for Senate District 2.
The SDEC is the governing body for the Texas Democratic Party. Senate District 2 includes all of Rockwall, Hunt, Kaufman, Van Zandt, Rains, Delta and Fannin Counties, and portions of Dallas County.
Previously, Villasana was president of the Rockwall County Bar Association, president and founder of Rockwall County League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), and served on the board of Rockwall County Helping Hands. He also taught at SMU and the University of North Texas College of Law, and worked in the administration of Governor Ann Richards.
