ROCKWALL, TX (Aug. 29, 2023) The Gonzalez family of Rockwall loves their family craft time, and it shows! Together they’ve garnered several wins and honorable mentions at the State Fair of Texas creative arts competition.
Emme Journey, a first grader at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary, placed third in ceramics and handpainted, China; honorable mention in painted rocks; second place in glue, a shoe; and honorable mention in stuffed animal.
Miles Epic, a sixth grader at Amy Parks-Heath Elementary, won honorable mention in birdhouse and craftsman honorable mention, and glue issue, honorable mention in sewing stuffed animal; and honorable mention in flower photography.
Micah Legend, an eighth grader at Cain Middle School, won honorable mention in glue, a shoe; honorable mention in sewing stuffed animal; and second place in photography people category.
“We love our family craft time and truly love entering the State Fair each year,” wrote Erica DeSio Gonzalez. Their family also placed in the blue ribbon baking contest over the summer.
