Rockwall police detective honored for outstanding work to protect children

ROCKWALL, TX (Jan.  4, 2024) – At their meeting this week, the Rockwall City Council honored Rockwall Police Detective Phillip Young for receiving a Significant Case Award. The award came from the United States Secret Service and the National Computer Forensics Institute for Detective Young’s work on a detailed child exploitation case with local ties. 

The suspect pled guilty and was sentenced to 50 years in prison. Detective Young is among a very few who receive this award, and we thank him and his peers for their outstanding service in protecting children.
