Heath, TX (March 11, 2024) – Longtime Heath resident, community servant and business leader Vicki Wallace has announced her candidacy for Heath City Council, Place 3.
“For the people who live here, our day-to-day quality of life and long-term investment in Heath has been greatly altered by significant growth in a rather short period of time. This growth, both within the city and all around us, has had a huge impact on our water, roads, and traffic” says Vicki. “Addressing these critical issues by putting the needs and concerns of our residents first will be my top priority as a council member.”
Having lived in Heath for 13 years and Rockwall County for 23, Vicki has a deep understanding of local and regional issues through her service that includes Board and leadership positions with the City of Heath/Economic Development and Municipal Benefits Corporation; Rockwall County Helping Hands and Rockwall Women’s League. She believes volunteerism and civic responsibility go hand in hand.
“Heath is a serene lakeside community with open space and a rural feel that we all want to protect.” says Vicki. “As a long time resident, I’m willing to invest my time and energy finding solutions for the challenges we face. Working together with surrounding communities and as neighbors and friends, we can ensure that Heath remains the premier, lakeside, semi-rural gem that we all call home with pride and confidence.”
Vicki earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas-Austin and launched a career where her work ethic, communication skills, analytical approach and respect and compassion for others, has resulted in a 35-year record as a successful corporate leader and active community volunteer and philanthropist. As owner and CEO of Transworld Business Advisors of North Texas, she leads a full-service business brokerage company specializing in exit strategies, business sales, business valuations and company mergers. The firm has been named the Best Business Brokerage Firm in North Texas by Living Magazine readers each year since 2021 and Best Business Broker of McKinney, Texas each year since 2019.
In addition to her local involvement, Vicki has also contributed significant volunteer hours to Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County, Ronald McDonald House, M.D. Anderson, Interfaith Housing Coalition and the Junior League of Dallas.“ My passion for volunteer work and being a servant leader is core to my Christian values. It keeps me grounded, humble, and grateful. Being a Christian by ‘doing’ is my favorite kind of church,” she says.
Vicki is an active member of The University of Texas alumni association and Longhorn Foundation.
She’s an avid college football fan, lake enthusiast, antique collector and sunset junkie.
Election day is May 4, 7:00am-7:00pm at Heath City Hall. Contact Vicki at vwallace@Vicki4Heath.com or go to www.Vicki4Heath.com.
