Rockwall County economic development public forum scheduled July 16

Rockwall, TX (July 2, 2024) – The public is invited to another Economic Development Forum, scheduled for July 16, 2024, at Liberty Hall at the Rockwall County Courthouse, 1111 E. Yellowjacket Lane, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

The forum will revisit a range of topics including county demographics, population projections in different areas, current and future land-use projections, potential environmental impacts, travel patterns of residents, the county’s roadway and travel networks, grocery access, county government functioning, and public access to information.

Based on the surveys and forums the Strategic Planning Committee has conducted, the community expressed strong interest in managed growth, and concerns in areas such as transportation, natural conservation, public safety, arts and culture, and tourism. The input gathered aims to provide us with a comprehensive understanding of the desires and needs of community members looking ahead.

Rockwall County’s planning process and the resulting policies will focus on promoting and managing growth, protecting and enhancing key areas, and helping the county adapt to future trends.

The Rockwall County Strategic Plan 2050 Community Steering Committee encourages everyone to attend the Economic Development Forum, Part 2, on July 16th.

Thank you for your participation in helping us shape the future and maintain the quality of life and stability of Rockwall County.
