Rockwall, TX (July 29, 2024) – On June 19th, 2024, the Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a tip to the Rockwall Police Department regarding multiple pictures and videos of possible child pornography being sent from an IP address in the City of Rockwall. Detectives investigated the tip and found probable cause to believe that multiple electronic items of child pornography had been sent via an on-line communications app through the suspect’s IP address. Detectives confirmed that the suspect’s IP address was assigned and located at a house in the 2600 block of Desert Falls Drive in the City of Rockwall and that the IP address was in the name of a resident at that location.
On June 28th, 2024, Rockwall Police Department Detectives executed a search warrant for the location looking for additional evidence of the offense of Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography, a Felony offense. During the search, detectives were able to corroborate the Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography by the resident and suspect, Jason Neal Frankenfield, resulting in his arrest. The suspect was taken to the Rockwall County Jail and charged with Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography, two counts, a 2nd degree Felony. At this point it is not believed any of the images were of victims in Rockwall. This remains an ongoing investigation.
