Vaccinations onsite for Wylie students headed to college

(Wylie ISD) The Dallas CareVan, in cooperation with the Wylie ISD Health Services, will have the vaccines juniors and seniors will need for entry into college.

On April 20, the CareVan will be at Wylie High during the morning and Wylie East in the afternoon. This is an opportunity for students to receive vaccines without having to leave school.

There is no cost for the vaccine for students who qualify for Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) or who are enrolled in Medicaid, CHIP, or have private insurances that do not cover immunizations. Families with private health insurances that cover vaccination services are not eligible. No appointment is necessary. Parental consent forms are required and will be available through your campus nurse’s office.

For more information, contact your campus nurse or Amy Hillin, RN, Health Services Coordinator, at 972-429-2373.
