‘One Team, One Mission’ to ensure no child wakes up without hope this Christmas
ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX (July 10, 2025) – The holiday season in Rockwall County has long been defined by generosity, compassion, and the unyielding spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. That tradition will continue—and grow stronger—as the Rockwall County Toys for Tots campaign officially takes the lead on this year’s countywide Christmas toy drive, in close partnership with Rockwall County Helping Hands.
This new leadership role for Toys for Tots reflects a natural progression built on shared values and a common mission: ensuring that no child in Rockwall County wakes up without hope—or a gift—on Christmas morning.
“This is not a departure from the work Helping Hands has done for decades,” said Jeff Skinner, U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Rockwall County Toys for Tots Coordinator. “Rather, it’s a continuation of the incredible legacy they’ve built since 1976. Together, we are one team with one mission—serving our local children and families with honor, integrity, and unwavering commitment.”
Rockwall County Helping Hands will continue to play a vital role in the effort, serving as the primary distribution center for the 2025 toy drive. Their local reach and trusted relationships ensure that every gift, donation, and act of generosity stays right here in the community—directly benefiting Rockwall County children.
Supporters are encouraged to donate toys, volunteer time, or contribute financially, knowing with confidence that 100% of their support goes directly to local families in need.
“Toys for Tots is proud to lead from the front,” Skinner added. “But it’s this community—and our amazing partners at Helping Hands—that make the mission possible.”
