Twenty-four Royse City High School students receive College Board National Recognition Program honors

Royse City, TX (October 7, 2025) –  Royse City High School is proud to announce 24 students who have earned academic honors through the College Board National Recognition Program. This prestigious program helps students from underrepresented backgrounds stand out on college and scholarship applications, providing them a platform to showcase their hard work and dedication.

Students verify their eligibility during their sophomore or junior year by meeting several rigorous academic criteria, including: earning a GPA of at least 3.3 or 87% or higher, being ranked within the top 10% of PSAT test-takers in their state, or have earned a score of 3 or higher on two or more Advanced Placement exams by the end of 10th grade. Eligible students can submit their applications during their sophomore or junior year and are recognized at the beginning of the following school year.

The three programs include the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program, the National First-Generation Recognition Program, and the National School Recognition Award. These programs are open to high-achieving students from all 50 states and U.S. territories.
