Chocolate Indulgence Returns to Support Women In Need Domestic Violence Shelter

ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 8, 2025) Women In Need (WIN), a Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting men, women, and children through domestic violence, is excited to announce that its signature fundraising event, Chocolate Indulgence, is returning this year at an all-new and highly anticipated location: The Five01, a stunning venue on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. The event will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13.

Chocolate Indulgence is one of WIN’s largest annual fundraisers, bringing the community together for an evening of decadent desserts, connection, and purpose. This year’s event promises an elevated experience, pairing indulgent chocolate with a beautiful lakeside setting that reflects both celebration and hope. WIN is excited to welcome guests to The Five01 and create memories in this new space.

All proceeds from Chocolate Indulgence directly support WIN’s critical programs and services, which help keep lifesaving resources available for those who need them most. Funds raised help sustain essential programs such as an emergency shelter, advocacy services, food and basic necessities, support groups, and additional resources that provide safety, stability, and empowerment to individuals and families during times of need, as well as resources to help transition shelter residents into long-term housing.

For over 40 years, Women in Need has served as a lifeline for individuals impacted by domestic violence. WIN’s comprehensive approach ensures clients receive immediate assistance—such as safe shelter and access to food—while also offering long-term support through advocacy, education, and healing.

Chocolate Indulgence plays a crucial role in making these services possible.

“Chocolate Indulgence is truly an event with a purpose,” said Kristen Ostertag, Executive Director of Women In Need. “We are especially excited to host this year’s event at The Five01, a beautiful new lakeside venue that allows us to elevate the experience for our guests while continuing to raise crucial funds for our programs. Every dollar raised helps us keep our doors open and our services available.”

Guests attending Chocolate Indulgence can expect a welcoming and elegant evening featuring an array of chocolate-inspired desserts, auction, entertainment, dinner, drinks, opportunities to engage with community partners, and stories that highlight the impact of WIN’s work.
