History comes to life at Vinecrafters with patriotic dinner series and debut of guest chef Karl Wilhelm

ROCKWALL, TX (April 6, 2026)— In honor of America’s 250th birthday, VineCrafters Winery is launching a new Patriotic Dinner Series, featuring two immersive spring events and the debut of guest chef Karl Wilhelm—a classically trained European chef bringing refined technique to north Texas wine country.

Wilhelm trained at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and began his career in Europe at the Hotel Kempinski Four Seasons Munich. He later worked in Dallas as sous chef at Chamberlain’s Fish Market Grill and as executive chef of a private club. His style blends classical European discipline with approachable, ingredient-driven cuisine.

The series opens with An Evening with Benjamin Franklin, a historically inspired dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event brings one of America’s most beloved founders to life through storytelling and cuisine, with a curated menu reflecting the spirit of early America. The evening coincides with the 251st anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride. Historical interpretive actor Darren York will portray Franklin.

The second event, Stars Over the Vineyard: An American Supper, will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026. Set beneath the Texas sky, the outdoor dinner celebrates American tradition and seasonal ingredients, inspired by the moment the United States stepped onto the world stage in 1898. The evening will feature live music by classical Spanish guitarist Roberto Granados of Flamenca Manzanilla.

Tickets are $60 and may be purchased at www.VineCrafters.com.
