Did you ever wonder about how the Declaration of Independence came to be 250 years ago? Well, you have one weekend left to experience what the representatives of the 13 colonies went through in 1776 with the British invading our shores! You can be a witness to the birth of a nation as our forefathers struggled to craft the Declaration of Independence.
It’s the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence … if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! 1776, The Musical follows John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence.
This marvelous, funny and yes, educational musical, directed by Gina Nelson, will transport you back to that time! You can get tickets at rockwallcommunityplayhouse.org for either April 10, 11 or 12.
