GLOBE Cohort members deliver donated items to local foster partners.
ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX (April 15, 2026) The Rockwall County 4-H GLOBE Cohort, led by Rockwall-Heath High School students Jeet Sodhi and Jind Sodhi, extends its sincere gratitude to the community for the overwhelming support of the Foster Teen Impact Drive. What began as a student-led initiative quickly grew into a collective effort to support local teens in foster care.

With the help of generous donors, the drive collected more than $1,500 worth of donations, including over 180 pairs of socks, over 300 wide range of personal hygiene and care items, along with amazon gift cards. These donations were presented to 6:30 Outfitters, led by Jackie Slinkard, who works closely with foster homes across Rockwall and surrounding counties. The items were delivered at a foster home operated by the Bridge the Gap Foundation, where these items go on to support the foster teen girls and boys.

The success of this initiative reflects the strength and compassion of not just the Rockwall community but also the families and Jeet and Jind showcasing their 4-H pride while collecting the donated items for a foster home friends near and far who came together to support this effort. We would like to recognize and extend a heartfelt thank you to Theresa Chung, Brian Bailey (My City Lending), Vikas Vohra, Lauren Mowry, Jami Lair, Gabriela Zandomeni, Judy Holder, and Leah Combs, as well as those who donated anonymously. While your names may not be attached to the donations, your generosity played a vital role in making this effort possible and is deeply appreciated.
This drive was about more than collecting items. It was about restoring dignity, confidence, and a sense of stability for teens who are navigating challenging circumstances during an important stage of their lives.
We are grateful to everyone who donated, supported, and helped spread the word. Your contributions made a meaningful and lasting impact.
