Local Author to Host Book Signing Benefiting Foster Children

ROCKWALL, TX (May 21, 2026) — Local author Karri Lynn Gage will host a special book signing event from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 24 at Barnes & Noble (1151 E. Interstate 30, Rockwall), sharing her powerful personal story of survival, healing, faith, and hope while raising awareness and support for children in foster care.

The event will feature Gage’s books, The Bootsman Wore Bells and Thorns in the Mirror, both deeply rooted in her real-life experiences growing up in foster care and overcoming trauma.

“These are not just books… they are my real story of surviving foster care, overcoming darkness, and finding God in the middle of the pain,” Gage shared.

Guests are invited to meet the author, purchase signed copies, take photos, and learn more about her mission to help foster children. According to Gage, all proceeds from book sales will go toward supporting children in foster care.

The event aims to offer encouragement to those who may have experienced hardship, loss, or feelings of being unseen or forgotten, while also shining a light on the needs of foster children in the community and beyond.

“If you’ve ever felt unseen, forgotten, or fought battles nobody knew about… this event is for you,” Gage said. “Come say hello, grab a signed copy, and help us make a difference one child at a time.”

The public is invited to attend.
