Givingmas, Dallas Amputee Network partner for 5th Annual Golf Classic to expand impact across North Texas

DALLAS, TX (July 21, 2026) — Two North Texas nonprofits dedicated to helping people overcome life’s toughest challenges are joining forces to create even greater impact through the 5th Annual Givingmas Golf Classic, set for Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at Tenison Park Golf Course in Dallas.

The annual tournament brings together local businesses, community leaders, golfers and supporters for a day of friendly competition with a meaningful purpose—raising funds that help individuals and families overcome obstacles, achieve greater independence and build brighter futures.

Since its inception, the Givingmas Golf Classic has raised more than $150,000, supporting the life-changing work of Givingmas and, this year, its nonprofit partner, the Dallas Amputee Network.

Givingmas is committed to providing “a hand up, not a handout,” working one-on-one with families who are actively pursuing self-sufficiency. Through personalized support that includes budgeting and financial education, career development, transportation assistance, credit repair and other resources, the organization helps families build lasting stability rather than simply addressing immediate needs.

Reliable transportation is often the difference between keeping a job and losing one, making it one of the greatest barriers to long-term self-sufficiency. Thanks to the generosity of community partners including Planet Ford, Classic Chevrolet, and many other businesses and donors, Givingmas has provided more than $55,000 in critical vehicle repairs, more than $25,000 in auto insurance assistance, and gifted seven vehicles valued at more than $110,000 to families working toward independence. Those investments have helped parents get to work, children get to school and families move forward with dignity and hope.

In recognition of its innovative approach and growing community impact, Givingmas was recently named a finalist for the 2026 D CEO Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards in the Capital One Mobility Forward Award category.

Founded in 2002, the Dallas Amputee Network (DAN) is dedicated to supporting, mentoring and empowering amputees, their families and caregivers throughout North Texas through education, peer support and resources that help individuals regain confidence, independence and active, fulfilling lives.

“This tournament is about far more than golf. It’s about bringing together a community that believes everyone deserves an opportunity to succeed,” said Mike Keating, CEO and founder of Givingmas. “Every golfer, sponsor, volunteer and donor is investing in hope, independence and brighter futures. We’re proud to partner with Dallas Amputee Network this year because together we can expand our impact and help even more people overcome obstacles and move toward lasting self-sufficiency.”

The tournament will be played in a four-person scramble format on the scenic, tree-lined fairways of Tenison Park Golf Course, welcoming golfers of every skill level.

Participants will enjoy breakfast by Enchilada’s before the 8 a.m. shotgun start, followed by lunch provided by Barley House, an awards celebration and raffle prize drawings after play. Registration also includes a tournament T-shirt, hat, koozie, player swag bag, and opportunities to participate in fun on-course contests and activities throughout the day.

Golfers can also purchase tournament add-ons, including mulligans, raffle ticket packages and the popular “No Shame Game Pack,” featuring a tutu, yard of string, four mulligans and eight raffle tickets for those looking to add a little extra fun while supporting the tournament’s fundraising efforts.

Businesses are invited to demonstrate their commitment to the community through sponsorship opportunities, while individuals and teams are encouraged to register early. Every registration, sponsorship and raffle ticket purchased helps support the life-changing work of Givingmas and the Dallas Amputee Network.
