The Metro East Division of the Dallas Builders Association presents a $110,435 check to Lone Star CASA.
ROCKWALL, TX (Aug. 5, 2026) – The Metro East Division of the Dallas Builders Association recently presented Lone Star CASA with a $110,435 donation raised through the 21st Annual Cars for CASA car show, continuing a remarkable tradition of supporting children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect in Kaufman and Rockwall Counties.
Over the past 21 years, the Metro East Division has contributed more than $1 million to Lone Star CASA, making Cars for CASA one of the organization’s longest standing and most impactful community partnerships.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Dallas Builders Association Metro East Division and everyone who has made Cars for CASA a community tradition for more than two decades,” said Kim Campbell, Board President of Lone Star CASA, who accepted the donation on behalf of the organization. “The funds raised will allow Lone Star CASA to provide advocacy for 30 children for an entire year, ensuring each child has a trained volunteer advocate by their side as they navigate the child welfare system and work toward a safe, stable, and permanent home.”
The donation will also strengthen the organization’s Justice-Involved Youth (JIY) Program, which pairs trained CASA volunteers advocates with youth on formal probation, providing consistent, trauma-informed advocacy that helps them successfully complete their goals and build brighter futures.
So far this year, Lone Star CASA has served 256 children, with 85 children already achieving safe, permanent homes through reunification, adoption, guardianship, or placement with relatives.
Lone Star CASA extends its heartfelt appreciation to Dallas Builders Association Metro East Division, along with the support of sponsors, volunteers, car enthusiasts, donors, and attendees, who continue to transform the lives of children and families throughout the community.
