ChowDown Roadshow to Film at We The People Taproom in Rockwall

ROCKWALL, TEXAS (Sept. 14, 2026) — ChowDown Roadshow is making its first trip outside the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area, traveling to Texas to spotlight independent restaurants and the stories behind them. One of its stops will be We The People Taproom in Rockwall, owned by husband-and-wife team Allen and Shannon Bryan.

The ChowDown Roadshow team will be filming at We The People Taproom on Wednesday, September 16, from 3:00–6:00 p.m.

For Allen and Shannon, We The People Taproom is the result of a dream that grew from their love of travel and their life together.

The couple first met as single parents in South Carolina and married in 2014. Their travels eventually inspired them to pursue a restaurant of their own. A trip to Key West planted the first seed of the idea, while a later visit to a taproom in Virginia helped shape their vision for a laid-back gathering place where friends, families and neighbors could enjoy good food, drinks and even better company.

Construction on We The People Taproom began in the summer of 2025, and the restaurant officially opened its doors on February 15, 2026.

Located at 165 E. Quail Run Road #103 in Rockwall, We The People Taproom combines a self-pour taproom concept with a food menu featuring favorites such as Fish N Chips, Shrimp N Grits, Koreatown and Al Pastor. The restaurant is also preparing to introduce a new burger, the Lone Star Diablo.

One of the restaurant’s most eye-catching features has a story of its own. The star-shaped light fixture inside the taproom is made from beer bottles that Allen and Shannon collected over several months. The couple intentionally sampled different brands to collect the right combination of bottle shapes and colors for the finished piece.

During its visit, ChowDown Roadshow will capture the Bryan family’s story, showcase the restaurant and taproom, highlight its food and atmosphere, and give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the couple’s journey from a travel-inspired dream to a Texas gathering place.

The visit is part of a milestone week for ChowDown Roadshow, marking the team’s first filming trip outside the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area.
