A New Name for the Road Home: Sids Road Becomes Rayburn Way

ROCKWALL, TX (Sept. 16, 2026) For years, visitors to Rayburn Electric Cooperative’s headquarters have found us at 950 Sids Road in Rockwall. Now, the road leading to our front door has a new name: Rayburn Way. The new name recognizes the cooperative’s longstanding relationship with Rockwall and its role in serving Member cooperatives across North Texas.

On Monday, June 1, 2026, the Rockwall City Council approved Resolution No. 26-13, designating the 900 to 1099 block of Sids Road as Rayburn Way. In approving the new name, the City Council recognized Rayburn’s service and contributions to Rockwall since the cooperative was formed in 1979.

More than a new street sign, Rayburn Way reflects the cooperative’s nearly five-decade history in Rockwall. Rockwall has remained our home as Rayburn has grown alongside our Members and the North Texas communities they serve. We appreciate this recognition and the relationship we have built with the community over the years.

Rooted in Community

Rayburn’s connection to Rockwall and the communities our Members serve extends beyond the power grid. Rayburn and its employees contribute through local partnerships, volunteer service, job creation, and continued investment in Rockwall.
Our address may look different, but our commitment remains the same. From 950 Rayburn Way, we will continue serving our Members as a Member Focused, Member Driven cooperative and contributing to the community we call home.
