Rockwall County Republican Party hosts community meet-and-greets ahead of November election

ROCKWALL, TX (Oct. 6, 2026) With Early Voting beginning in less than two weeks on October 19th, and Election Day occurring in less than 30 days on November 3rd, the Rockwall County Republican Party is actively working to encourage voter participation.

Our Rockwall County Chair Alma McClintock and various Precinct Chairs have hosted meet-and-greets across the county, welcoming community members to meet local elected officials and candidates.

Precinct Chairs for Precinct 1A, Mary DuBose, and Precinct 2B, Bob Vines, hosted their meet-and-greet at the Harry Myers Center. The event welcomed members of the Rowlett community and provided an opportunity for residents to connect with their neighbors, precinct elected officials, and candidates. Attendees included County Commissioner for Precinct 1 Bobby Gallana, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1 Tony Norton, Constable for Precinct 1 John Benedetto, and several candidates seeking public office.

Precinct 2 Chair Frances White, Precinct 2A Chair Julie Spokes-Owen, and Precinct 3B Chair Richard Henson hosted their community event at The Harbor. The gathering provided attendees with an opportunity to hear directly from public officials and candidates regarding the importance of participating in the upcoming election. Senator Bob Hall, Congressional District 32 candidate Jace Yarbrough, and Rockwall County Judge Frank New were among the featured speakers. Each emphasized the importance of completing voter registration requirements, encouraging family members and friends to develop a clear plan for voting, and ensuring that eligible voters make their voices heard by casting their ballots at the polls.

Precinct 2C Chair Dalton Tasset, Precinct 3E Chair Karen Myers, and Precinct 3C Chair Cindy Horne hosted a Grill & Greet at the new Heath City Park. Members of the Heath community were invited to enjoy the park, engage with neighbors, and hear from a number of Heath and precinct elected officials. Speakers provided information regarding election polling locations and emphasized the civic importance of exercising the right to vote. Precinct 2 County Commissioner Dana Macalik and Precinct 3 County Commissioner Lorne Liechty also addressed attendees, outlining the issues at stake and the potential consequences when eligible voters do not participate in the electoral process. The event concluded with live entertainment by Brent Brunson, a George Strait Tribute performer, who presented a selection of familiar and widely enjoyed songs.

The most recent Meet & Greet was hosted in McLendon-Chisholm by Precinct 3F Chair AJ Wesseler and Precinct 3D Chair Robbie Ryan. The event brought together local residents and county officials for an informative discussion focused on public service and issues affecting the community. Rockwall County Criminal District Attorney Kenda Culpepper and Tax Assessor Kim Sweet were in attendance and offered valuable insight into the responsibilities, functions, and day-to-day work associated with their respective offices. Their remarks provided attendees with a clearer understanding of how these county positions serve the public and contribute to the effective administration of local government. Community members also had an opportunity to engage directly with one another and with their elected officials, ask questions, exchange perspectives, and discuss matters of local concern in a welcoming and constructive setting.

Several additional Meet & Greet events are planned throughout Rockwall County in the days ahead. Members of the community are respectfully encouraged to attend as the election approaches and the final opportunities for voter engagement draw near. These gatherings will provide residents with valuable opportunities to meet local officials and candidates, discuss the important issues facing the county, ask questions, and learn more about the many ways they can become actively involved in the electoral process. We welcome your participation and encourage you to join us in supporting an informed, engaged, and active electorate.
