ROCKWALL, TX (Oct. 8, 2026) — Downtown Rockwall was filled with shopping, connection and friendly competition as more than 80 women participated in the 2026 La Tee Da Fall Shopping Tournament, presented by Hanby Insurance, a signature program of the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce’s Professional Women’s Alliance.
La Tee Da was created to bring women together for an engaging afternoon while intentionally supporting the businesses that help make Downtown Rockwall a vibrant destination. Participants competed in teams, visiting participating merchants throughout the downtown district and earning points through purchases and social media engagement before coming together for an evening mixer, awards and raffles.
And the Winners Are…
Competition was strong throughout the afternoon, with Besties for the Restie claiming First Place with an impressive 460 points and taking home gift cards from Revive Aesthetics & Healthcare.
The Shopping Queens earned Second Place with 368 points and received gift cards from Covebourne.
The event was about more than points, however. The Saucy Supersized Sisters were recognized for Best Spirit and received gift cards from A Little Kitschy, while Cyber Chicks were selected as the event’s Wild Card Winner.
Two additional participants went home with some extra-special prizes thanks to SouthState Bank, sponsor of the event’s designer handbag raffles. Eva Hummel won a Kate Spade handbag, and Dee Ellis was the lucky winner of a Tory Burch purse.

A special recognition goes to Lynette Coughlin of Providence Place Bridal Boutique and Tammy Escobedo of The Pink Door Studio/Mary Kay, who served as the Professional Women’s Alliance chairs for this year’s event. Their leadership, creativity and commitment helped bring together an experience that celebrated women in business while creating meaningful engagement with Downtown Rockwall merchants.
The Professional Women’s Alliance, a program of the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, provides opportunities for women in business to connect, grow professionally, strengthen leadership skills and become more engaged in the Rockwall business community. Programs such as La Tee Da put that mission into action by combining relationship-building with intentional support of local businesses.
