ROCKWALL, TX (Oct. 12, 2026) The Rockwall Art League’s 26th Annual Juried Fine Art Show & Sale will fill The Center at Rockwall City Place with 192 original works by 119 artists Oct. 16-18. Admission is free.
This year, 143 artists submitted 387 works. A three-person jury of artists and art professionals selected the works on display, about half of those entered. The 119 exhibiting artists, up from 111 last year, come from 49 cities in Texas and Oklahoma, including 30 from Rockwall.

The show spans eight categories: oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, photography, sculpture, mosaic, and mixed media, which this year includes digital art. Acrylic is the largest category, with 36 works.
The show has a new home this year at The Center at Rockwall City Place, 108 E. Washington St., in downtown Rockwall. It was held at Cavender Nissan of Rockwall in 2025.
The show opens at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, with a ribbon cutting with the city and county. An artists’ reception follows from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with awards announced at 7 p.m. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. Final awards will be announced at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Judges Dana Brock and Rachel Townsend Cerny will award up to $6,600 in cash prizes. Best in Show receives $1,000, and first and second place in each category receive $500 and $200.

The league also will present nine special awards. Visitors can vote for the People’s Choice Award throughout the weekend. Other special awards will be chosen by the mayor of Rockwall, local medical professionals, local publishers, Rockwall County representatives, and representatives from Rockwall, Fate, Heath, McLendon-Chisholm, Royse City and Rowlett.
“This is a chance to see a lot of original art in one room, meet the people who made it and maybe take a piece home,” said Tammy Pennington, president of the Rockwall Art League. “You don’t need to know anything about art to enjoy it, and it’s free to walk in.”
Most of the artwork is for sale, with prices starting at $50. Purchases are handled at the show, and a portion of each sale supports the Rockwall Art League.
In addition, the Art League will have a select group of miniature artwork for sale for $25 apiece. Proceeds fund the League’s scholarship program for Rockwall-area high school students.
