City of Heath to honor veterans with November 11 ceremony, music and community gathering

HEATH, TX (Oct. 23, 2026) The City of Heath invites the community to honor those who have served our country during its third annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, at Towne Center Park.

This year’s guest speaker will be Kenneth “Kenny” Griffith of the Heath Department of Public Safety. A retired U.S. Army staff sergeant, Griffith served three combat tours in Iraq and is a recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge and Purple Heart. He will share his personal story as part of an evening recognizing veterans’ service and sacrifice.

The ceremony will include a presentation of the colors, special music by Rockwall-Heath High School Infiniti Choir members, and refreshments.

Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to stay for food trucks and live classic rock performed by the Lone Star Thunder Band.

All residents, veterans and active-duty military personnel are welcome. The City extends a special invitation to veterans to join their neighbors for an evening of recognition, gratitude and community.
