(Wylie) September 1, 2012 – Join Wylie Fire Rescue as they work to support the families of fallen firefighters. Now in its ninth year, the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament has grown to include over 35 regional golf tournaments held across the country, including Wylie, on behalf of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
In 2011, tournaments raised over $300,000 in support of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation programs.
The third annual tournament will be Friday, September 7 at Woodbridge Country Club, 7400 Country Club Drive in Wylie.
The format will be a four person best ball Scramble format with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Some of the event contests include hole-in-one, longest drive, straightest drive, and closest to the pin.
