(Rockwall) November 26, 2012 – Bring the family to experience the magic of the 3rd annual Festival of Treesthat will brighten this joyous holiday season beginning Sunday, November 25 with a showcase of extraordinary trees at the Hilton Bella Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard, and continuing through Friday, November 30 with a dinner and auction.
This collaborative effort on the part of a volunteer board, local businesses, organizations and families serves as a fundraiser for Rockwall County Helping Hands.
The nonprofit critical assistance agency is under more pressure than ever to raise sufficient funding to respond to the needs of area neighbors, friends and families during the holiday season.
Six trees decorated by the best of the best – the 2011 Festival of Trees contest winners – will be showcased in the Hilton lobby November 25 through 30.
On November 30 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., all holiday tree contest entries will be on display, creating a beautiful holiday wonderland. Walk the Aisle of Wreaths which includes door decorations and outdoor displays.
Vote on a favorite tree, then have the chance to buy it in the silent auction during Friday’s dinner. The event will include a bounty of holiday offerings, including unique live auction items for everyone on your holiday gift list; a raffle that includes a fabulous item from Willis Jewelers; the opportunity to buy extraordinary table centerpieces beginning at 6 p.m.; and a chance to shop the Boutique of Helping Hands all day – at the Hilton.
Admission is free. Patrons are welcome to bring a new, unwrapped toy or make a cash donation.
