(DENTON-December 27, 2012) For those wanting a bit of country life without venturing too far from Dallas, Patricks’ Pastures Alpaca Ranch in Denton now offers bed and breakfast accommodations.
The Old Irish Bed & Breakfast at Patricks’ Pastures Alpaca Ranch welcomes guests Thursdays through Sundays, as well as by special arrangement on other days.
Old Irish, located at 3030 N. Trinity Road, features three, vintage-style cottages on the nearly six-acre alpaca and llama ranch. Each cottage rents for $179 per night, and there’s a two-night minimum on weekends.
“We offer visitors to Denton County a charming and romantic experience,” said Jim Patrick, Patricks’ Pastures’ host and innkeeper. “Guests can enjoy the quiet, peaceful setting and spend time with the alpacas and llamas.”
Reservations are accepted via numerous bed and breakfast booking sites or directly through Patricks’ Pastures, Patrick said.
Old Irish features:
· Adults-only, smoke-free accommodations
· Queen-size beds
· Antiques
· A television and DVD player in each cottage
· A refrigerator and a microwave in each cottage
· Private porches with two rocking chairs on each porch
· Ceiling fans inside and outside each cottage
· A catch-and-release pond
· Alpacas, llamas, ducks, geese, dogs and cats
· A hot tub
· PaCa Pro Shop, which sells clothing made from alpaca fleece.
In addition, Old Irish includes The PaCa RoAd Inn, an intimate venue for small weddings, anniversaries, graduations, community gatherings and other festivities. The inn, which can accommodate up to 40 people indoors and more people in a large patio area for dining or cocktail parties, rents for $1,250 per five-hour event.
The property includes two areas for weddings. One area features a gazebo next to a pond with lighted fountains. The other is appropriate for very small weddings and is adjacent to a garden and a large fountain.
