Dinner at Dodie’s served up with surprise marriage proposal
(ROCKWALL-January 2, 2013) When Breanna Drayer’s boyfriend asked her to dinner December 23, she didn’t know that he had arranged for some of her best friends and family members to join him in giving her an extra special holiday surprise.
Once inside Dodie’s Cajun Diner at The Harbor, Josh Edenborough got down on one knee and asked for his college sweetheart’s hand in marriage.
The proposal was accompanied by Breanna’s friends holding up signs that Josh had created, reminding Breanna of special things the couple had done or experienced together. One of those signs read, “Remember when I asked you to marry me.”
Breanna, a Quinlan resident, has family in Rockwall. She and Josh, who is from Guymon, Oklahoma, enjoy visiting The Harbor when they are in town.
“Josh set everything up with her best friends to make the day great,” said Barbara Drayer, Breanna’s stepmom. “I think everyone at Dodie’s had tears in their eyes.”
She explained that Josh and Breanna met at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, OK. Josh is a high school basketball coach in Guymon and Breanna is attending grad school to become a physical therapist.
The couple plans to marry on November 2, 2013.
