(ROCKWALL-January 21, 2013) Fourth grader Sydney Hail from United Elite Gymnastics & Cheer of Rockwall was the winner of the “WOW” Award at the Spirit Celebration Cheerleading competition recently held in Galveston.
The two day Galveston Island Nationals Championship was hosted in the Moody Gardens convention center with over one thousand cheer participants.
This prestigious individual award is picked by the panel of judges based on performance. It is presented to an athlete that really stood out on the floor. Spirit Celebration states that “if it’s in your HEART…it shows in your SPIRIT” as clearly demonstrated by Sydney in her gregarious personality and contagious smile.
Sydney loves the camaraderie and competing with her teammates on “HEAT” at the United Elite Gym under the direction of Head Coach Carol Wigley.
