(ROCKWALL ISD-February 28, 2013)On Wednesday, February 27, the staff and students at Utley Middle School welcomed 33 business professionals from the community and surrounding area to the school’s inaugural Career Day.
The goal of this endeavor was to continue to strengthen partnerships with business and industry, as well as enlighten our students on their educational and career expectations as they make real world connections.
In addition, the employers were able to network with student leaders, staff, and each other during a time designated for networking. The students and staff embraced the day as a variety of careers were represented: education (secondary and post-secondary), city and county officials, medical field, engineering, legal profession, sports, retail and commercial sales, mentoring, airline industry, military.
