If you play violin, viola, cello or bass, this orchestra is for you

(May 5, 2013) The Rockwall School of Music is making the necessary arrangements to offer a homeschool orchestra for the 2013-14 school year. The orchestra will be open to all homeschool students in the greater Rockwall area. Instrumentalists with one or more years of experience are invited to participate. More experienced players are invited to audition for an advanced level ensemble.

The orchestra will rehearse weekly on Thursdays from 1 to 2 p.m., beginning September 5, 2013. The orchestra will be under the direction of Adam Eason, cellist and theory/composition graduate from SMU. He will arrange the orchestra parts to accommodate advanced and intermediate players. It is recommended that students have at least one year of experience in order to participate in this orchestra. Students with less experience may participate with a recommendation from their private instructor. Music will be written/arranged to accommodate and challenge players of all levels.

There is a registration/supply fee of $35 per student plus a monthly tuition of $85 with family discounts available upon request. To secure your students place in this unique opportunity, contact the office of the Rockwall School Music at 972-722-6874 or . Space is limited.
